In September, fifty-two of us entered the seventh grade. In October, our class took a trip to Fort William Henry in New York. We were fortunate this year to have Miss Maureen Sullivan as a practice teacher for ten weeks. LeBeouf, L. Smith, I. Stevens, R. Barney, T. Phillips, N. Field. In September 1960, thirty-six students entered the eighth grade. Mrs. Evarts was appointed our class advisor. At the first class meeting the following officers were elected: Douglas Yantz, President; Gregory Clark, Vice-President; Norman LeBoeuf, Secretary; and Michael Jackman, Treasurer. Nancy Lamont and Richard Osgood were our representatives on Current Events Quiz. They, by winning three weeks in a row, qualified for the semifinals. Their alternates were Jane Ryan and Dennis Campbell. Wayne Crown won the first prize in the annual Forest Essay Contest in the Addison Northwest District. His essay was entered in the state contest.
