Early in September our class 89 strong started our first year of high school working hard towards our Senior year. One of our first duties was to hold a class meeting where we elected the following: President, Claudia Allen; Vice President, George Wisell; Secretary, Frederick LaPan; and Treasurer, Gerald Hatch. Audrey Fishman and William Wisell were elected as class representatives to the Student Council.

THIRD ROW: Anderson, Oulette, Rose, Kirby, Taylor, Thiess, Degraaf, Abair, McNulla, Collette. In the fall of nineteen-fifty nine, thirty-four of us entered the eighth grade. At our first class meeting we elected these officers: Billy Thiess, President; Erland Cokey, Vice President; Janet Caron, Secretary; and Kathy McNulla, Treasurer. Mrs. Evarts is our class advisor. In December we gave the seventh grade a Christmas Party. Billy Thiess and Alida Casey were chosen to go on the Current Events Quiz. Jack Anderson was their alternate. We are enjoying the new Vergennes Union High School very much. Janet Caron President
