CHORUS Nine representatives attended the Mount Royal Music Festival, Town of Mt. Royal, Quebec; and eight attended the Vermont Music Festival in Burlington, May 2. During the school year, many students sang for the clubs of the city. As president of the Vermont Music Association, Mrs. Springstead represented Vermont at the National Music Educators’ Conference in Los Angeles, California.

The Glee Club met last September under the direction of Mrs. Springstead and elected David Lilly, President; Douglas Guy, Vice President; Janice Wightman, Secretary; and Marlene Booth, Treasurer. The Christmas Concert was held December 17. By popular request the Glee Club sang The Song of Christmas by Fred Waring. The spring concert, held May 22, included on its program Negro spirituals, popular, and classical selections. All of the members participated in the Champlain Music Festival at Weeks School, May 13.
