 BODETTE MOTTO: Gaze not on things afar, neglecting what's at hand. COLORS: Blue and White CLASS POEM Shadows of the former classes Still drift down these halls. Oh! How quickly time passes! Freshman of so many falls Have passed along these halls. This class of '58, with them, Will end their stay at V. H.S. To meet the world And reach their goals; To have a taste of sweet success. They leave these halls. But memories of these four years, Our work, and joys, and happiness, Will quench our fears And steer us on to much success. Memories of our teams so old, We, the Commodores so bold. Of Vergennes High. The tried and true of V. H. S. Will soon be marching with the rest, Down these dim and dusky halls. Our shadows will drift with the rest. Along the halls of V.H. S. Until they cling To some book, chair, or desk. To sing of their joys and happiness. Oh!
