DEWITT CLARK, Post Graduate CHIEFLY the MOULD of a MAN'S FUTURE IS in HIS OWN HANDS -- Class Motto Sturdy and strong we go our way. From early dawn to close of day, Through summer heat and winter's cold. From infancy till our days grow old. There are many mountains we must climb, And we struggle to reach the heights sublime. Mt. Education is a lofty height -And we don't reach the summit over night! Graded School Hill has a tiny rise, That looks like a mountain to six-year-old eyes. On Mt. V.H.S. the way is rough, Cliffs are steep and the going is tough; But there are places to stop for awhile. And rest before trying another mile. High School is the mountain we've liked the b'est. As we learn to climb through studies and tests. Lessons in sportsmanship stay with us yet, Good times at Proms we'll never forget. Our teachers, our studies, - day after day -The rallies, our pals - all help on the way. As the top of Mt. V.H.S. we reach. On the other side, what will there be for each? A whole range of mountains ahead we see. Mountains of achievement for you and for me -Home-maker, salesman, doctor, and lawyer, Nurse, secretary, wood-chopper, sawyer. The college, the forest, the mill will call, And we know there's a mountain top waiting for all. So we say from this mountain top sublime Thanks to all who have helped us climb. With parents, teachers, friends and all Who helped us climb - we could not fall. A great big Thanks, and may God bless Those who helped us climb through V.H.S. Marjorie Grant (class poet) ONWARD GOES THE BLUE AND WHITE
