The time was September 1954, when a great change came at VHS. A quiet, peaceful place became a noisy, capacity-filled building. A group of teen-agers had gathered in a farther comer of the study hall. It was the Junior Class!--with Miss DeMeritt as Faculty Advisor; Carl Peabody, President; Shirley LeBeau, Vice President; Dorothy Sorrell, Secretary and Suzanna Jerger, Treasurer. Our class may boast such cross-country stars as the time-breaking Lee Veysey, followed by D. Ledoux, R. Vincent, P. McNulla, and numbers of others excellent in sports. Socially inclined, we have sponsored small dances, a big Christmas Dance, and the Junior Prom this year. Five of our members made the Square Dance Team! Set your sun dial for the Seniors of 1956!
