We have dreams and expectations of how this year will progress. Many of our dreams will be transformed into memories that we can cherish forever. We held a weight lifting contest to help put emphasis on increasing our strength. In- creasing our strength would help us make up for some of our losses in key positions from last year. In spite of our lack of experience, our fall practice went very well. We looked as if we had the makings of a good ball club. We were not sure of ourselves and lacked con- fidence. Near the end of the Holtville game, we were beginning to pull things together. We were beginning to play as a team. Everything fell into place by the Trinity game. The Red Devils handed the sixth ranked Trinity Wildcats their first defeat of the season. The Red Devils solid victory over the Wildcats supplied the momentum which carried the Red Devils to a victory over Thorsby. Our Spirits were dampened by our loss to Marbury, but the Red Devils took the loss with stride. We prepared for the Billingsley game and played a hard fought game against the Bears. The loss to Calera produced a very trying week for the Red Devils. Red Devil pride came through and boosted us to a hair raising victory over the Autaugaville Eagles. The victory carried us over Maplesville which was a very hard fought game, but the Red Devils just could not pull it off. Our season came to a close when we traveled to Isabella for the last regular season game. The Red Devils could still very possibly have reserved a spot in the playoffs with a victory over the Mustangs. It was just not meant to be. The Red Devils traveled back home with thoughts of next year's season.
