Halftimes Display 'Cougar Pride' Halftimes were full of class and style, adding entertainment and sparking the crowds' interest. As the time on the clock ran out ending the second quarter, anticipation built for those performing, and also for the expectant audience. Participants in halftime shows put in long, dedicated hours of practice to make their performances the best possible. Involvement by Marching Band, Pep Band, Small and Tall Flags, Dance Team, and Pep Squad made 1980-81, a year to be proud of, proving we are number one, and displaying our COUGAR PRIDE. Traveling Down the Right Course As another year of the 80,s has flown by without a warning, the VHS yearbook staff Qcomposed of dedi- cated fHal Halj, crazy fdefinatelyj, mysterious fabso- lutelyj, cranky fusuallyj - but all-around great peo- plej has arranged, organized and assembled the 1981 Black-Gold Yearbook you now have in your hands. The different moods and talents of each foot-loose and fancy free person on the staff, has greatly con- tributed to each and every page. They have traveled down the right course to take in all of the past years happenings and put them down for you to experience once again before a final good-bye. A willingness to work long, hard hours is needed to put together a really great yearbook.
