Race Brings Big Crowds The course began with a Volkswagen and a team of six to push. At the sound of the gun each team was off and running, participating in the tra- ditional VW race sponsored by Boys' Federation. Lunchtime Offers Great Challenges 1 . T K . ,xt ' as-gli. C. A. Susie Graham leads lunchtime area cram. B. Scott Sharpe and Richard Herrera battle it out with pillows. C. Students gather with anticipation for the class competition area cram. D. VHS students fight it out to see who will achieve victory. Lunchtime not only holds challenges, but it breaks up the routine days adding good times and an opportunity of exerting energy in a fun way. This year offered individual competition in contests such as dress-up for Halloween, and king of the log. Spirit, and Unity were felt among students as they cheered on their class in the class competition. One of the highlights was the area cram, but many more events were there waiting for student participation. It was a lunch hour to get involved and really feel a part of VHS. lf? ' 2 it 5-tri X.
