LEE VALENTINE (Treas. 2nd Sem.) luiavfs B a ■ D, ' ESPITE the fact that the class of 1944 contributed generously to the armed forces and the business world, over 150 Pirates held to their course and will win the coveted high school diploma. Most of the traditional activities were kept up during the year, and one notable innovation was the gigantic Carnival, held in the barn on February 5, when the twelfth grade established itself as a real money maker. Active members also combined efforts to put out this war-time year book.
