The first was a skating party held at the Casino Roller Rink. rf the numerous activities sponsored by this class Ample evidence of the ingenuity of the thirteens was reflected in the Barn Dance promoted by them. The school barn was transformed into a genuine barn for this affair by the addition of hay, beanstraw, and farm implements, Deciding to revive a custom which has been over- looked for the past few years, the thirteens agreed to have class sweaters. The sweaters were in the class colors of maroon and grey. lllllllll llllllllllli Ruth Gilmore and Bill Sweet represent the highest scholastic and citizenship standards of the thirteens. They were chosen by the l-li-Y committee for their successf-ul application of worthy efforts to individual and school problems, llllllllllf On April 26th, the thirteens presented a clever radio skit during a school assembly. Alita Delfloyes and David Rockwell were in charge. This class' farewell party was held at Pierpont Bay, where games, swimming, and a weiner bake were enioyed. lvluch credit for the outstanding success of the thirteenth grade class was undoubtedly due to the splendid spirit of this class and its able officers and advisers. Arthur l.ovatt was president, Ruth Gil- more held the vice-presidential position, and Dorothy McPherson managed the secretarial duties. lvlildred Keys and E, Otis Draper were faculty advisers. ltll,l.
