He was chosen for the Sarasota-Herald Trib- une Christmas Tournament and also was named the Mosf Valuable Player. Jamie Edwards and Pete Panton controlled the boards for this year ' s squad. Pete was named to the All Tournament Team at the Rockledge Invitational. Mike Roberts led the team from the point guard position. The team finished with a 7-16 win- loss record. Junior Varsity Basketball The J.V. Basketball team had nei- ther the size nor the experience of pre- vious teams but this did not seem to hinder their playing. The greatest sat- isfaction of the season probably came from the win over Charlotte High. The team had not beat Charlotte in more than four years of competition. With the game in over-time they won with a score of 72 to 70. Starting almost completely from scratch with a new team and new coaches (Jerry Mulligan and Mike Lay), the J.V. basketball team ended the season with a 10-6 record. This was largely due to outstanding players such as Leading Scorer Kevin Faulk- ner, Leading Rebounder Ric Roehsner and Eric Anderson the Best Play Maker. The team should be lauded for their exceptional playing and continuous enthusiasm. J.V. BASKETBALL Row 1: Kevin Faulkner, Rich Judge, Larry Dinka, and Scott Dunn.
