Rifle Team The J.R.O.T.C. rifle team competes with other rifle teams throughout the state. According to assistant coach Cap- tain Craig, This is the most active team we have had in 5 or 6 years. The rifle team shoots .22 rifles at 3- inch round targets from a distance of 50 feet. The captain, for the seven member team, is Jon Brower and the coach is Master Sergeant Harrison. Varsity Basketball Recovers The Varsity Basketball team recovered from early season disap- pointment, to become a team to be reckoned with. Al Dietrich provided the offensive fire power for the team, scoring 90 points in one week. He was chosen for the Sarasota-Herald Trib- une Christmas Tournament and also was named the Mosf Valuable Player. Jamie Edwards and Pete Panton controlled the boards for this year ' s squad. Pete was named to the All Tournament Team at the Rockledge Invitational. Mike Roberts led the team from the point guard position. The team finished with a 7-16 win- loss record.
