Marching Band The marching band, a group of sixty-five musicians under the direc- tion of Mr. Donald Burman and stu- dent directors Tony Crews and Judy Parsons, have undertaken numerous activities. They performed for district marching competition at Riverview High, presented halftime shows at the football games, marched in local parades; the Venetian Sun Fiesta and Citrus Parade, had their second annual band stand show for the com- munity. At band stand shows, the band plays in concerts as well as dis- playing the talent of individual mem- bers. The V-ettes, a group of thirteen girls under the direction of Mrs. Bur- man, performed flag routines with the band at football games and parades. A number of these girls also play instru- ments with the band. This year V-ettes also raised money to purchase pom- pons for their routines.
