SENIOR CLASS PROPH ECY It is August 23, 1965. Carol Marshall and I, Carol Mangi, are sitting in the lobby of the Hotel Chase waiting for our old classmates to arrive. The occasion is our first reunion since High School. The former Margaret Hendricks has just arrived in a Cadillac,and has been telling us that she is now married to Ed Wiesehan and is the mother of two darling girls. We have just received a telegram from Lawrence Heagy and Cathy Koelker, who are now in Reno opening up a new club, Cthe 6Oth,D and can't make this reunion. Terry Greenlee just walked in and is telling us that he has just signed a contract for five years at the Venice Social Club. Ile will be accompanied by Jane Groshong on trumpet, and also as his assistant Vocalist. Don Cook, a famous man about town, has just told us that he is the new principal of old Venice High School. He tells us thathehas things really rolling. After graduation Don Davinroy changed his ways and is now study- ing at the Frontinac Seminary in St. Louis to become a priest. His first mission will be in Africa. Janet Jenne and Jessie Lou Mitchell work together at Swift Pack- ing Companyg they are the chief sausage makers. They are also room- mates. Tonight each former classmate will receive one pound of SwifUs sausage. Well, here comes good old Frank Cowley. He has just told us Hum he is the chief cake decorator at a bakery shop in St. Louis. John Boushard is a traveling salesman for the Campbell Soup Com- pany. What a surprise this is!! Don Beyer is his partner in thegbb. They tell us that they are doing fine. Carolyn Mercer just came in and is telling us about the HBWIMWB- up on the market. She is now head make-up counselor at Stix,IBBr,amd Fuller. David Parker is now the president of the Parker Pen Company, due to the death of his uncle. He has just invented a new pen that achzd- ly writes without ink! Each of us will receive one tonight. Glen Sadler is a minister at the 2nd Baptist Church in Venice.He has eight sons, and hopes that at least one of them becomes a minismm of his church. A FRIEND A FRIEND

Walter Wise has just told us that he is a fashion designer at Mak taldo's in St. Louis. He is one of the head designers of wom ez1's clothes. NThe women will be wearing very loud colors this year,H says Wally. Well, you never know. Maryella Price has opened her own Slenderella shop in Venice. It is the only one around here. She decided to try to do some good for the women of this town. Oh, and by the way, Maryella now weighs only llO pounds, and is looking fine. Glenda Warnhoff is a Patricia Stevens Model in St. Louis. She is modeling for a New York Company. She's really changed over tlie se years. It is amazing what seven years will do for a person. Pat Wilkinson is the head of a professional baby-sitter samnca She now has one hundred teenage girls working under her. She says the business is doing wonderfully. La Vonne Stover is an airline hostess, and works for P. A. A. She is now on a flight from Havana to New York and cannot be With.I1B to- After graduation, Gary Trobaugh took up dramatics. He is nownska ing his first movie in Hollywood. His specialty is western rnovies. His movie name is WGary Gunsn. Glenda Sadler is a pretty good auto-mechanic around GraniteCity these days. We hear that she is one of the best. LIFE magazine 11as chosen her as the nMechanic of the Yearn, for 1965. Dr. Tom Voegele is teaching Senior English at Venice High School. This is his first year. Our Senior English teacher has had several nervous breakdowns, Ccause unknownl, and Tom Voegele was offez'ed the j0-be Carl Callender won't be able to make this reunion because he is in Alaska where he has a small general store of his own. 'We ha ve heard that the Eskimos are his best customers. Well, Carol Marshall and I, Carol Mangi,are working togetller at the famous NPINK SPIDER CASINOU. We are the head bookkeepers, and we are very happy and wealthy!! Well, meeting our old classmates surely does bring back memo- ries of the good old days at Venice High School.
