The members of Ladies act as the ollicial hostesses ol' Venice High. Tlieir duties include serving at all school functions. such as the Sports Award banquet and co-ordinating council luncheons. Tlieir social activities this year have taken them horseback riding. Christmas carolling, on snow trips and on slumber parties. WINTER '57 STUDENT ACT VITIES i The Student Activities Class is in charge of all student body social affairs such as dances. sports- nites, noon movies, noon dances, and charity drives fRed Cross, March of Dimes. Harlan Shoe- maker Fundj. In order to become a member, a student must have a verification card approved by the sponsor and the A.S.B. First Vice President. The organization consists of approximately 32 members. Only one oiiicer, the First Vice President presides over the class. The First Vice President for W'57 was Susan Peterson, and the sponsor is Mr. Lawrence. The First Vice President for S- '57 was Penny Aratin. They are the oflicial hosts of Venice High School You will see them wearing maroon sweaters and slacks as an official uniform. They have done a tine job setting hwh standards and performing many useful services to the school. Some of them are as follows: a. Serve as guides on A-9 Visiting Day. b.
