STUDENT RO BER1 to ,TER BODY PRESIDENT Some of the things the president does during the semester are as follows: Presides over all student body assemblies and over the Student Government class. Represents Venice High School at all civic, inter- school or any other meetings where the school needs to be represented. Serves as an ex-officio member of all committees and boards appointed by the advisor of the Student Government Class. Has the power to appoint members of the Student Government Class to any committee necessary at that time to further express the duties of the class. WINTER '57 STUDENT ACT VITIES i The Student Activities Class is in charge of all student body social affairs such as dances. sports- nites, noon movies, noon dances, and charity drives fRed Cross, March of Dimes. Harlan Shoe- maker Fundj. In order to become a member, a student must have a verification card approved by the sponsor and the A.S.B. First Vice President. The organization consists of approximately 32 members. Only one oiiicer, the First Vice President presides over the class. The First Vice President for W'57 was Susan Peterson, and the sponsor is Mr. Lawrence. The First Vice President for S- '57 was Penny Aratin.
