WM Youth, the very essence of life, has been chosen as the theme of our annual, and we, the class of i937 and the Con- dolier Staff, wish to give to you a book emphasizing the ideals and ambitions of Young America. Youth represents everything vital-expresses energy in its very newness. Youth is streamlined, and has been made that way by the urgencies of our day. ln youth we can find the zest for life, the sense of here and now. And may that youth, which has so much to do, so much to work for, be guided to use its boundless energies in the fields which are waiting. Young America has learned that life is worth living and Bul- wer Lytton expresses the attitude which should become the by-word of every young person, in his quotation: ln the lexicon of youth, which fate reserves For a bright manhood, there is no such word As ...., fail. With the beauty of youth, its illusions, aspirations, and dreams always before us, we have made this book, and to all who may leaf through its pages, we hope we can impart some portion of the deep faith we have in the future and in those who are about to face life4the Youth of America.
