The Band's Calendar ol Performances August 14-Played at Old Settlers meeting at Yeddo. August 24-Played at the annual railroad picnic at Urbana, Ill. September 4-Marched at State Fair. September 25-Marched and played in mass band concert at Veedersburg park along with Covington, Richland, Hillsboro, and Kingman bands. October 11-Marched at State Marching Contest at Speedway, receiving a 1st division rating. Paraded downtown Saturday night. October 18-Marched at Butler - St. Joseph football game at Butler University. October 30-Played downtown at Democratic headquarters. November 1-Played and marched at Veedersburg - Linden basketball game. Gave Meet the Band show. November 21-Played and marched at Veedersburg - Williamsport game. Gave Thanksgiving floor show. Students directed on stage. December 5--Played on stage at the Veedersburg - Charlton game. December 19-Played on stage and marched at the Covington game. Gave the Christmas floor show. December 22-Played at the grade school Christmas play. Decegnber 23-Played on stage and gave Christmas floor show for Hills- oro. January 16--Played on stage at the Richland - Veedersburg game. February 3-Played on stage at Attica - Veedersburg game. February 10-Solo Ensemble contestants played numbers. W February 13-Band played on stage at Kingman - Veedersburg game. February 14-Solo Ensemble contest at Frankfort. Results: 9 1st's and 7 2nd's. February 18-Band played at Legion Americanism program. March 11-Band presented An Evening of Music. March 20-Band went to Richland to practice all day for the County Band Festival. Joined with Attica, Covington, Williamsport, Richland, Kingman, and Hillsboro to form a 290 mass band. April 18--Band Contest at Covington. April 25-Lions Convention at French Lick. May 22--Played for Commencement. October 27-State Choral Festival held in the Coliseum at the State The Chorus's Calendar ol Performances Fair- grounds in conjunction with the All State Orchestra Concert. November 11-American Legion Armistice program, Concert Choir. January 10-Veedersburg Elementary School for Central P.T.A. February 8-E.U.B. Church for Youth Fellowship Week, Concert Choir. April 1--Pre-Easter Services at Alamo. April 10--Participated in District Choral Festival at Attica. Russell Paxton of Wisconsin University was the director. The Girls' Glee Club sang as a special number, A Triubte to Romberg , a collection of 'Sigmund Romberg favorites.
