Girls enrolled in the Vocational home economics department are presented subjects that are in- tended to acquaint them with the general basis of home making. This department includes home economics in general, home nursing, child development, related arts, foods, and clothing. Girls en- rolled in this course gain knowledge and skill through actual practice in cooking, and sewing. Also, two home projects must be completed during the year, one of either sewing or cooking, each se- mester. In addition to the four years of home economics, students in this department must take the follow- ing subjectsg freshmen, English, biology, algebra, music, and physical training, sophomores, Eng- lish, and two of the following, geometry, history, or Latin: Juniors, English. American history, choice of Latin or one semester commercial arithmetic and algebra: S9Hi0l'S, English, civics, and an elective.
