Dont be sxlly Gen forget xt nothmgs gomg to happen Ill c1ll taxt and come and get you about hve The plane 15 due at 5 30 and he hung up At 5 15 Rod and Gen were at the Alrport There were several other peo le also waltlng for the plane Ar 5 30 tt was nowhere lh sight and the sky was cloudy and It was begmmng to ram Gen was very nervous as were several uf the oth r ladtes who were wattmg At 6 00 Rod and one of the other men mqulred of one of the men working there The man sald that the plane was often late and not to worry However the ram was now commg down ln a steady pour The people waxtlng sought refuge ln one of the alrplane sheds By this time Rod was as ner vous as Gen By 8 OO even the men at the Axrport were afrald for the plane but they explained to the people that the pxlot probably saw the storm commg and had made a landmg ln some town They advlsed the people to go to thetr homes and probably there would be word there from thetr frlends who were passengers m th plane The much worrled Gen and Rod went back to their college When they ar r1ved they found a telegram It read Come at once mother needs vou Dad Oh' crled Gen they ve been wrecked m the plane and mother s been killed or hurt oh Rod If was all your idea' I know lt was sts Ill take the blame Oh what fools we have been why dldnt we listen to dad and mother?
