Club Department FENV years ago realizing the grow- ing tendency on the part of clubsand similar organizations to have pro- fessional talent at their entertain- ments, the Wfestern Vaudeville Managers' Association started a department to look after this rapidly increasing branch of the vaude- ville business. It is today another of the very busy departments of this vast enterprise and yearly books acts or attractions at a majority H- A- Robinson- of the leading clubs in the city as well as in the homes of many of the social leaders who wish to furnish their guests with some sort of entertainment. This department is in charge of Mr. H. A. Robinson, an expert in his line, who will place anything from a 'single act to the biggest program such as would .be offered at the best theaters in the land. For the private persons who know nothing of the details of engaging professional talent the department has proven a boon for it relieves them of all the details and at the same time is a source of economic worth. All worryin regard of who to have, what to provide and looking after details regard- ing the entertainments is taken from the hands of those who wish to provide it and done in the most expedient manner by this department. Nothing is too small for the department to handle from the magician or clown at the children's lawn party to a full sized vaudeville program for club or benefit entertain- ment. , ln this department too its relation to the rest of the organiza- tion is apparent for it has unlimited scope to draw-I from and there is no act or collection of acts too big for it to get for an enter- tainment if the appropriation from the club or society, is large enough. Mer. Club Department. Some of the biggest acts of the vaudeville world are con- stantly appearing under its auspicies and there is not a week that several of the best clubs and homes in the city are not supplied with entertainment by it. 39
