The stateroom next to mine has been taken by Roddy Spencer, NBC's star sportscaster. He is on his way to the Winter Olympics to. broadcast them to the United States..... Washington D.C. January 27, 1966 .....that I am back from the Olympics I had better start to work on my next book. It is going to be on the slum condi- tions on the Mid-East coast of the U. S. Tomorrow I have an interview with one of the social workers here in Washington D. C., Phillis Brown. She should be able to give. .... Washington D. C. January 3O, 1966 . .... Had dinner this evening with Delores Kowlitzel, the ex- Miss Hamilton, and her husband who is an authority on slums in Chicago. February 16, 1966 .....opened the door this morning and who should be standing there but Jim Smyth, who is a salesman with the Fuller Brush Company. I met Hector Bonnar up here today. He is a ski instructor, and a good one. He has had offers from several Alpine Lod- ges, including the Bavarian Alpine Club, but.....
