FOREWORD I am happy to express my appreciation to the students and patrons of the Vanoss Public School. I know the students are the best I have ever dealt with, and the patrons have given the school the best support and cooper- ation I have ever received. Without the cooperation of each student, patron, faculty member, board of education, all employees of our school, and our community organizations our school could not be a success. Many times our community is judged by the kind of a school we have. Everyone has his problems, and every problem that is handled in a fair-minded cooperative way strengthens our school. Undemo- cratic behavior weakens our society. How we solve our problems determines how democratic our community is, and how strong our school. No thoughtful man ever came to the end of his life and had time and a little space of calm from which to look back upon it, who did not know and acknowledge that it was what he had done un- selfishly and for others and nothing else that gave him satisfac- tion.
