744 Gian P The rocket settled its huge bulk on the stony surface of the moon. All the passengers, including myself, alighted. We were quite dizzy at first and had a difficult time getting our bearings. Then the great telescope, which we brought along to gaze at the earth, was rolled out and set up in the best location. When it finally came my turn to look through the telescope I had the thrill of my life. For I realized that I could not only look at the earth but I could locate my former classmates on the earth. . I turned the great lens until I could plainly see the little village of Vanlue. But to my great surprise it was no longer little, it had grown to be of con- siderable size. And there I found the first of my former classmates, Donna Mae Miller, now happily married to Charles Bibler. Charles is now the head manager of Hochstettler Grain CS Supply, which has grown to be a great international firm. And there I left them and upon further surveying the town I found Louise Shaffer who long since had become Mrs. Burdette Pratt. They were living in a beautiful apartment which Louise kept spotlessly clean de- spite the destruction of her three off-springs. Then I moved on to Chicago, Illinois, to find lean Coldren at Marshall Field in the interior decorating department. She has been very successful and has planned and decorated the homes of many famous people, including plans for the proposed new addition to the White House. I had been abroad for so many years studying music that I had lost all communcation with my good friend, Edith Risner. I began to search for her and located her in the great New York City, Where I tfound her working as one of the famous Powers models. I Watched her model a lovely evening gown and then moved on to Hollywood to visit Marcella Hendricks and Helen Cole, the head make-up artists at Warner Brothers. Then on to Texas to find Orville Cook busy at Work, branding Long Horn Cattle, and making a great success of ranching. I began to wonder what had become of Helen Mae Grant and upon turn- ing the lens a bit, I found her living in Norfolk, Virginia, in order that she might be near her husband, a captain in the Navy. I found Betty Sausser and Mary Louise King as private secretaries in Washington, D. C. And then turning back to Ohio, I found Donald Broadwater standing proudly in his field of 12-foot hybrid corn. Claren Thomas I found to be in his chosen occupa- tion that of a Successful Farmer. I located Raymond Walters in the Episco- palian parsonage studying his manuscript for Sunday's sermon. I took one last look through the telescope and moved on to make room for the next person. Frances Marshall. WAALAND'S GREENHOUSES. 140 LARKINS ST.. FINDLAY. OHIO, PHONE 389 11
