J ohn Ackerman Harry Savage is an up and coming young writer to everyone but his publishers. Mabel, his wife of two weeks, is very encouraging but in order that they may yet receive their allowance from Harry's rich Uncle Otto, they haven't announced their marriage. It is very disturbing when Uncle Otto B. Savage and Mabel's Aunt Ermintrudc Evans visit them at the same time. Fortunately for Harry and Mabel though Aunt and Uncle are hard of hearing. The situation is further enhanced by the appearance of Smoky McGee, an escaped convict, and Mrs. Donelly, the landlady, who demands the rent or their evacuation. But by many breath-taking and laugh-making events Harry and Mabel manage to clean up the plight and cttlc down again as a peaceful family. Page twenty-five
