Class istory We have now reached the end of our school career. Twelve years of instruction which has helped us reach this goal. The first eight years of school were long and uneventful and at times very dull. The four years that We have been in high school seem almost too short but they are ones that we will always remember. In 1937 we started our high school career as forty-eight shy and rather inexper- ienced Freshmen. Mr. George Tuttle being our guide and counselor. Our class offi- cers were: President, Doris Hendricks, Vice President, Ruth Ellen Dulgarg Secretary- Treasurer, Robert Van Atta, Reporter, Ruth Marie Cupp. The next year we became Sophomores, being one step nearer to our goal. Our class of thirty-seven members elected Reva Thompson, as President, Virginia Shuck, Vice President, and Ruth Marie Cupp, Secretary-Treasurer. Mr. Tuttle was our sponsor. In the fall of '39 we entered our Junior Year with thirty members. This year and then we presented our class officers were: President, Gerald Ruth Dulgarg Treasurer, Belva We felt very dignified for we chose our class rings play, Gay , which was a real success. Our class Cotter, Vice President, Virginia Shuck, Secretary, Crawford, and Reporter, Pauline Kauffman. In the spring we gave the Seniors a real send off by being their hosts at the annual Junior and Senior banquet. Miss Ethel Baum was our adviser. In the fall of '40 we entered our Senior year. With twenty-eight members answering the call to continue . This was the climax of our school career and we all enjoyed our Senior year the best of all. During the year, Paul Rice, our all- around athlete, Darrold England, and Jean Helfer left us. A highlight of our Senior year was our class play, Pigtails , which was acclaimed a great success. Our high school careers were ended with the Commencement on May 19. Our Senior class officers were: President, Helen Beck, Vice President, Cosmo Plottsg Secretary, Dortha Parrish, Treasurer, Belva Crawford, and Reporter, Juanita Hendricks. Mr. Hinkle was our advisor. Class Historian, Ruth Ellen Dulgar IN MEMORIAM Dorzoruv BARCER Tho' lost to sight, to memory dear Thou ever wilt remain, One only hope my heart can cheer,- The hope to meet again. -George Linlcy Page eleven
