Coach Robert Reid, Athletic Director, a man of determina- tion and humor. A man who strengthened a reputable image for the Vanguard athlete. A coach who despite internal weaknesses and external criticisms strove for victory on the basketball court and in the minds of his team. A man who won even in defeat. A man with Christian love and contemporary insight. A man with a new vision. 61
