Two miles away is the famous boating center of Southern California, Newport Beach and Lido Isle. Nearby towering mountain peaks and lakes complete the idyllic surroundings. Being located in the metropolitan area of Los Angeles, students can avail themselves of the libraries, museums, and cultural events for which the city is famous. just minutes from the Campus are miles of beautiful ocean, and nearby are the famous tourist attractions of Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. Costa Mesa itself enjoys an ideal climate. Free of smog, its winters are tempered by ocean currents, and its summers are air-conditioned by cool trade winds from the ocean.
