cLAss HISTORY They tried to tell us we were too young, But as Eighth Graders, we had fun. Raymond and Julian were King and Queen, Fontana and Snyder, Legion awards received. As new Freshmen we did our best, But still the Teachers gave us no rest, Algebra and Science were new to us, And when report cards came out, we made a fuss. Happy Sophomores, we worked like elves, Even had a hall all to ourselves. Photosynthesis will never leave our minds, After writing it a hundred times. Big Time Juniors, we roamed the halls. Call us Upperclassmen, or there'll be a brawll We chose our class officers to lead us through the year, We faced our problems with a smile and a tear. The Prom brings back memories of our first formal, When all of us tried to act a little normal. The year was finished, and vacation time was here, But we all came back for the final year. At last as Seniors we've reached the final step. The door is open and hasn't closed yet. We cheered our teams through victory and defeat, But our spirit was never broken, and we could not be b With memories of dances, games, assemblies, and all, As we look back, it was a wonderful Ball. Our teachers all helped us to make the grade, Without whose help it could never have been made. Our colors are blue and gray, our theme, Peace, But fighting in the world still does not cease. We, future citizens of this great land of ours, Hold our heads high and wish by the stars That peace, happiness, and good will towards men Will be yours and mine to the very end.
