SetUox. GIgAA. (JlatoAM. As two hundred and thirty lads and lasses. We eagerly entered our Eighth Grade classes. Timid and fascinated in our new station. We gradually aspired to graduation. To Robert Auld and Dorothy Wilson Went the honorable awards of the American Legion. Enrolled as two hundred and thirty'three Freshman students, We displayed our zeal and earnest prudence By responding to the call of various clubs. No one would ever call us a class of “dubs”! We definitely desired each teacher as our comrade, And we truly endeavored to accomplish the high grade! Three hundred twentyone Sophomores in the fall of '39 Had reached a significant halbway sign. In clubs, activities, and sports we participated Enjoying the officers' positions we rated! We had planted our roots in our Alma Mater And we would take care that it ne'er would falter! Three hundred Juniors, eager and ardent, Chose John Giordani to be their sergeant. Edward Kallock and Fred Helper were his right'hand men; Ruth Stewart held the purse; Lucy DiSabato was historian. With black and gold as our class colors, yellow roses our class flowers We joyously awaited to enter the Senior bowers. Father Time and staunch determination Have helped us two hundred seventy three Seniors reach our destination. Kallock, Hepler, DiSabato, and Joseph Gray With Giordani, as commander, were chosen to lead the way To that memorable night of our last assembly, When all roads part: a cherished memory. Let Us Remember— That when we part with this beloved environment, There is not an ending but a beginning in commencement. —Lucy DiSabato. Historian Class of 1941. 12
