YNC DONALD E. MILLER ADMINISTRATION Chief MILLER is a Yankee from South Portland, Maine -in case you couldn't tell by listening to him. Since his enlistment in 1962 the Chief has served as a Ship's Yeoman on the USS TILLS KDE-7481, USS MILLER QDD-5351. USS HARTLEY QDE-1029j, and USS ZELLARS QDD-777j, as well as in the CINCPAC staff's Flag Administration Unit as Assistant NCOIC in the office of the Deputy for Command and Control U3-CJ and as Captain's Yeoman, HELANTISUBRON EIGHT. He and his wife, Miriam, have two children, Chris and Michelle. The Unit's two lovely and helpful secretaries are Miss Jennie Dickerson and Mrs. Janelle Gervickas. To a large degree the work these two ladies do, which most of us take for granted, is what allows the Unit to run so smoothly and efficiently. Miss Dickerson came to the Unit in 1962 and since then has seen six CO's and five XO's come and go. Raised here in Nashville and happy with her job, Miss Dickerson hopes she will be able to stay on at the Unit for many more years. Mrs. Gervickas lives here in Nashville with four of her children. She has a son in the Navy and a married daughter living in California. Mrs. Gervickas has been with the Unit since 1970.
