terest in it. Perhaps this was an important early step toward the dream of Martin Luther King. We have perhaps, over the years, been labelled as conservatives and if we will accept Bishop Paul Moore's definition, I will go along, at least with the vision. Bishop Moore said recently in protesting the forced resignation of Father Hesburgh from the Civil Rights Commission, The vision of True Conservatism is the conserving of the values of equality of opportuni- ty and the equal worth of each human soul. Many of us here have children and grandchildren. We have overheard and maybe protested against the rock and roll music and the long hair, both introduced to us by our British cousins. However, it is in- teresting to note here in Nashville, Tennessee, known also as Music City, that if we listen carefully to the modern day American ballads of love, lament and woe, the youth spell out very clearly what is wrong with our world, and with theirs, too.
