Happenings, like Homecoming, Parents' Weekend, the Contact- sponsored Meeting of the University , the all- campus weekend, and IMPACT, all serve to emphasize, briefly, the dynamic tendencies existing in the Vanderbilt Community, then, the campus lapses back into its former condi- tion. In the past, these events were planned, or- ganized, and implemented, by a small group of involved, interested, and informed students, on behalf of the entire student body. Each student could benefit from these activities if he was in- terested enough to attend or to participate in them. This year has led many students to new ex- periences, new developments, a new awareness ofthe role of a university. The student body reflected its changing moods by its actions. The mood of concern was expressed to the Administration at the Meeting of the Uni- versity.
