T reasurer The Vanderbilt Student Council is the major legislative body of Student Government on the campus. Its member- ship is composed of representatives from each of the schools of the University with the exception of Nursing. Its duties include: conducting elections, screening of all script clauses, representing the students in campus organizations and act- ing as an intermediary between the Administration and the Student Body. In addition to its primary duties the Council has planned and successfully carried to completion three unprecedented events during the past year. These are the Freshman Orientation Week, the Campus Chest Drive, and the Honors Day. These events, if properly nurtured by the Councils of coming years will add significantly to the great tradition of Vanderbilt. FIRST Row: Bates, Beck, Duncan, Faulk, Fisher.
