Fulfilling their call as representatives of the A11-Knowing Teacher, Vandy's faculty enlightens our mind, strengthens our will to do good and avoid evil. Delving into the darkness of our uncultivated minds they illuminate our poten- tial to learn and aim our ideas toward the highest goals. Like a prism in the world of light, our faculty radiates knowledge, thus creating stepping-stones along our road to success and maturity. With sincere gratitude and deepest appreciation, we, the students of Vandebilt, dedicate the Campus Light to you, the faculty! Dear Seniors, It is with mixed emotions of joy and sorrow that I write this letter. I have feelings of joy because you have reached another milestone on the road of life and I know this is something to which you have been looking forwardg I have feelings of sorrow because this year is coming to an end. You have been a wonderful senior class - willing to cooperate so easy to get along with. I felt that we could talk and if you wished to say something, you knew the way and would not hesitate to ap- proach the office. For the most part you have given the undergraduates fine examples of school spirit and Christian togetherness. On behalf of the faculty and myself, mayl wish you every happiness and success in the future. Do not hesitate to return to Vandebilt. Thanks for helping to make me realize that all the bad remarks said of youth are not necessarily true. God bless you, Q.. Bt. Throughout this kaliedescopic bookwe have relived changing times with changing people, and given all the chance to view Vandebilt's life throughan ever changing lens. The Campus Light thrives on the characters who are portrayed within this book. But there are others, working behind the scenes, who are a great asset to the staff throughout the year. We take this page to acknowledge the time and effort of those who would otherwise go un- noticed. We extend our deepest appreciation to: The Staff of Taylor Publishing Co., especially Mr. Buck Anderson: Mr. and Mrs. Walker - Darrell DeMoss Studio: The Houma Guide: The Houma Courier: Brown's Thrift City Pharmacy: and especially to our advertisers: the faculty and students of Vandebilt: Br. Alfred and The Terrier staff: Mr. Kenney and the Journalism Class: a special thanks to Sr. Magdelene and her willing support, as well as to the mothers of the staff members for theirs. This book, in itself, expresses the gratitude of the staff to all who support it. It expresses our thanks to one person inparticular, who has come a long way since September - Sr. Marjo- rie, our moderator. Without her devoted time and sincere interest, you would not be reading these acknowledgements today. No words can express the feelings of The Campus Light staff: but two words which are used most often, seem to go a long way - THANK YOU TAYLOR PUBLISHING COMPANY VN Wovhfl luv Volrboull Au ggeiw W W ww Ni defy QW 4466478 A MMM ww G XUMM gW0'5'6WJ '99 P l my WMA H9 H Qe05W'WWg,M My U 1 9 W QW M WMNW ,qi M 'VJ 9 54 V, WIA .
