' V W sgzfxg-', 41 .-.- , 1 '-te Competing for Junior Miss is one of the greatest pleasures that can be had by any senior girl. Eligibility for entrance includes a high scholarship average, personality, talent, poise, and appearance. Each girl is interviewed by the judges before hand to discover her Outlooks and opinions, and this way is given a chance to reveal her desired goals for the future. In the words of Harriet Chauvin, it was a whole lot of fun. I got to meet new people and make new friends. Through this experience I found a betterinsight into the world of participationf' Vandebilt was represented by Stephanie Ellender, Jeannie Turner, Liz Landry, and Maria Duplantis. Maria was chosen fourth runner-up. Brenda Slocum, formerly of St. Joseph Benedictine, also participated. All girls agreed it was a rewarding experience.
