The 4-H club represents a will to work and a heart to help others less fortunate. It creates opportunity in education, fields of nature, and home life. The members also assist in the beautification of our school grounds. Generally speaking, 4-H is the devel- opment of our young citizens of to- morrow. Q..- 4-H Members win honors. 3 Because of honors won on Achievement Day, Shannon Tay lor and Philip Junot will attend the National 4-H Con vention in Washington, D.C. Looking on is their proud spon sor Brother Joseph.

The Vandebilt debaters got off on the right foot this year when they won first place and fifth place at their first tournament. After making several outstanding showings in other tournaments, the ball really began to roll at the District Debate Rally where one second and three first place titles were captured, The debaters went on to state, where they made a fine showing. They qualified for the Tourna- ment of Champions and represented Vandy at its best. We hope that you will concur with the af- firmative in stating that our debate team has a lot of which to he proud.

As publications of the Terrier are com- pleted, we see the strenuous efforts put forth by the Terrier newspaper staff. Un- der Brother Alfredis direction the Terrier has informed the school, of activities and events concerning all members of the Van- debilt student body. The newspaper has become a most vital interest to the fac- ulty and students of this high school. Louise, Margaret, Kathlyn, and Sylvia add their words of wisdom to the Terrier.
