The Vandebilt debaters got off on the right foot this year when they won first place and fifth place at their first tournament. After making several outstanding showings in other tournaments, the ball really began to roll at the District Debate Rally where one second and three first place titles were captured, The debaters went on to state, where they made a fine showing. They qualified for the Tourna- ment of Champions and represented Vandy at its best. We hope that you will concur with the af- firmative in stating that our debate team has a lot of which to he proud.

The 4-H club represents a will to work and a heart to help others less fortunate. It creates opportunity in education, fields of nature, and home life. The members also assist in the beautification of our school grounds. Generally speaking, 4-H is the devel- opment of our young citizens of to- morrow. Q..- 4-H Members win honors. 3 Because of honors won on Achievement Day, Shannon Tay lor and Philip Junot will attend the National 4-H Con vention in Washington, D.C.
