Future Farmers oi America SHOWMEN Many of the boys show their projects at the fairs and learn the arts of showman- ship and cooperation. The sixteen boys that showed in l947 took in a total of 3490. BELLEVILLE Each year the chapter sends delegates to the Belle- ville training school for FPA. members. At this school they learn how to improve the chapter and receive sugges- tions which will promote bet- ter community life. PARLIAMENTARY PROCEDURE Much time is devoted to the study and practice of cor- rect parliamentary procedure because the chapter realizes the importance of a business- like meeting. Qur team was very successful this year and we are proud of them. BUTCHERING FFA, boys learn by do- ing. For example butchering is done by the boys at differ- ent homes where they learn first hand information from their vocational agriculture instructor, Mr. Murphy. OFFICERS Officers of the chapter are elected every semester. They are responsible for conduct- ing the meetings, outlining the years activities, planning and supervising the banquet, and publishing the F. F. A. Booster. INITIATION ln the fall of each year the new FEA. members are in- itiated into the organization as Greenhands g the cere- monies are always formal. This club is composed of various groups interested in conservation, aviation, bird study, microscope work, taxidermy, and many other worth-while activi- ties. During the past year lectures on air-craft instruments, radio, and radar have been given by Mr. George Gibbons and Mr. Iohn Pummill. Movies and a hay-ride added to the year's entertainment.
