Miss Mabel Whitford, A.B. Her quiet dignity and her ability to teach cooking and sewing can never be forgotten by the students at V.CHS. Her leisure time is spent in bowling and seeing plays of which l'The Glass Menagerie is one of her favorites Mrs. Mary lean Cramer, B.S. Mrs. Cramer likes to cook better than fzew, but she too excels in both at VCHS. To her we say- Vou did a swell job with the lunior class play and we'll never forget your Sth hour assembly Mrs. Anna R. Kains, B.M.E. l love all music except hillbilly, :says Mrs. Kains, our music teacher. We think of her as a very hard worker who gets things done and knows how to handle Ukidsf' Good luck in all those music contestsl Mrs. Lois E. Wilson Her pleasing smile and charming appearance will always be remem- bered by the students of VC HS. Thanks to her for the time and pa- tience she has given us throughout our high school days. r. Oren Gould, I-LB., M.M. Mr. Gould, our new band director, always has everything perfect and well-planned. Marching at the bas- ketball garnes and the splendid con- certs are yust a few examples of the many ways he has made our band an excellent one' Miss Mary Dowen, B.Ed. B.Ed. ln thinking of Mr. Cramer, his blond hair, his neatness, and his preciseness come quickly to our minds, and those who have had hirr' in science and algebra will always respect his ability. Mrs. Walter H. McDonald, B.S. Mr. Mr. McDonald, our social studies teacher, claims he never worries, although we sometimes wonder it the new arrival didn't cause him un- mentioned anxiety. Murphy, B.S., M.A. We remember Mr. Murphy, our Ag. teacher, for selling hot dog: and wearing white aprons. 44102 Mr. William Hooper, B.Ed. Bow ties and big brown eyes im- mediately remind us of Mr. Hooper, our social science teacher. With his versatility and pleasant smile he makes school seem more worth while, Miss Elizabeth Upchurch, B.A. Mr. Mr. Mr. Romeo and luliet is my favorite play, says Miss Upchurch, our speech and English teacher. To her we say-we had a lot of fun in your classes and will never forget your pronunciation of sentence Vernon Drenckpohl. B.S., M.S. Natural Science To Mr. Drenckpohl, our coach first, our biology teacher second- we say- On to State! Well always be backing you and your basketball team-whether de- teated or victorious. Edward Mills, B.S. Mr. Millsffriendly, quiet, and sincere-we commend you for your pleasing manner and even disposi- tion. 1-Xs our assistant coach you gave your time and effort to make our team one of the best. William Wells, A.B., ILM. Getting up in the morning is quite a task for our math teacher, Mr. Wells, but he always manages to start the day off just right with his witty remarks. l-lere's to him- a super scorekeeper.
