They have worked diligently and faithfully on the many problems that are inherent in a large high school. They have approved amendments to the by-laws, allowing major Council awards in swimming, boxing and wrestling. In cooperation with the Shumway Junior High School Council they have supervised sucessfully the Trapedero Teen-Age Club. In general the Student Council speaks for the students and establishes the student policies of the high school. Vancouver was particuarly well repre- sented in state wide meetings, with two Van- couver girls holding offices at the Southwest Washington Conference, and with our coL presidents attending the Leaders' conference. Events included Big Sisters helping new girls, selling cokes at games, the Costume Mix, the annual Tolo dance, a fish pond at the Trap carnival, and regular Girls' League as- semblies throughout the year.
