Some of the outstanding players of the season were Vince Oscar- son, Robert Yabs, and Jim Walling in the backfieldg and Richard Mc- Vickers, Tom Miksch, Carroll Nelson, Harold Powell, and Robert Tay- lor in the line. Others: Mark Hardie, Bob Little. Tennis Mr. John wood, coach The Trappers had their best tennis team since the war this year. As of April 29 they had won three matches with no defeats. Victims of the Trapper attack were Jefferson of Portland, Cathlamet and Mc- Minnville. Big guns of the team were Bill Hoy, Dick Laws, Bob Cheek, Ed Osborn, Don Whitenack, John Lirning and Chuck Harris. Leading con- tenders for vacant berths left by Liming, Laws and Osborn, seniors, were Mark Hardie, Jim George and Bud Aiken, Juniors. Along with having a successful season the Trapper net squad ob- tained from the Student Council major letter awards for tennis. MBM Squad Baske ball Mr. Lester Long, Coach The Vancouver B team played preliminary to all of the varsity contests. Of the total of 19 games they won 12 while losing only 7. Their record for League games was seven victories and four losses. The team's average score per game was 38.4 to the opponents 32.6. The high scorer of the team was their pivot man, Bob Taylor, with 127 in 19 games. He was closely followed by teammates Gaylon Dacus and Bob Gibbons.
