THE ALKI - 1948 Foua Mr. Henry DeYoung Principal Greetings to Faculty and Students: On the pages of this, the fortieth volume of The Alki, will be found the record of our school's disappointments and triumphs for 1947-48. To the Seniors it is a record of the last happy year spent in high school, while to the Juniors and Sophornores it is an incen- tive to leave an even better record than the Class of 1948. With eleven hundred Working together there are very few things that we O 0 0 Administration can not accomplish. The Alki staff are to be congratulated upon the splendid book that they have created for 1948. To the Seniors I wish the best of success in their future work, whether it be in college or in some other field of endeavor. To all I extend the greetings of Vancouver High School. Henry DeYoung Principal Miss Dorothea von Berg Dean of Girls Mr. W. H. Conover Vice Principal
