Mr. A. Spagnoulo, B.A. Mr. Spagnoulo came to us from Notre Dame three years ago. This year he is teaching Law 11, Commerce 10, and Socials 9. He also coached the J.V. Football team. He will always be remembered as the teacher who couldn’t spell aple. Mr. A. Farenholtz, B.Pe. During Mr. Farenholtz’s second year at V.C., he coached the Varsity Basketball team. During the day, he teaches General Science to Grades 8 and 9 and Human Biology to Grades 11 and 12. Br. A.R. Estrada, M.A. This is Br. Estrada’s third year back since his return from Peru, where he earned the nickname Cha Cha. He heads the Religion department and teaches Religion to Grades 9 and 12, as well as Latin 9 and 10. Br. W.A. Howard, B.A., M.A. Br. Howard has spent four years at V.C. teaching his specialty, Algebra 10. He also teaches Religion to Grades 9 and 10. This year he helped Mr. Farenholtz coach the Varsity Basketball team. Compliments of K.S. FOO Br. E.J. English, B.A. Br. English came to us this year from S.T.M. in Burnaby. He taught French to Grades 8 and 10 in a most unique way. He also taught Religion to Grade 8. Br. English was also in charge of maintaining the gym. Br. G.D. Conti, B.A., M.Ed. Br. Conti is a graduate of St. Pius X High School in Montreal. He has been teaching at V.C. since 1976. This year Br. Conti is teaching Grade 6. 15

Senior Librarians Mrs. Naas and Mrs. Lynch hard at work. Br. M.G. Cull, B.A., M. Ed In his second year at V.C., Br. Cull coached the J.V. Basketball team. During school Br. Cull taught Religion, Socials, and Math to Grade 8. Mr. R. Hallam, B. Ed. Mr. Hallam’s sixth year at V.C. saw him teaching P.E. to Grades 8, 9, and 10. He also coached the Cross-Country team and the Track team this year. Mr.T.H.Choo, B. Pe During his fifth year at V.C. Mr. Choo taught P.E to Grades 8. 9. and 10. He also assisted Mr, De Julius in coaching the Varsity Football team. Br. J. Gerard Van De Ven, B.A., B. Ed., N.D.L. In his eighth year at V.C., Br. Gerard’s duties include teaching Religion 9 and I.E. 8. As well, Br. Gerard is in charge of keeping the school well heated during the winter months. No wonder it was so cold this winter! ! ! Mr. E. Crame, B. Sc. Mr. Crame has been teaching at V.C. for 14 years. Dad is well-known around the school for calling everybody you little booby, you! This year he is teaching Commerce 9, Economics 11, French 8 and 9, and Rel. 9. Mr. R. De Julius, B.A. Mr. De Julius is well-known for his excellent work with the Varsity Football team. This is his second year since he last taught here in the early ' 60 ' s. This year Mr. De Julius taught English 9and 12.

Mr. L. Matusicky, BA. M A Mr. Matusicky has been teaching at V.C. for the last six years. Besides moderating the Speech and Debating Society, he taught Religion 11, English 11, and English Literature 12. Mr. S. Kazun, B.Sc. A former graduate of Vancouver College. Mr. Kazun has worked on every V.C. - L.F.A. musical since his arrival seven years ago. This year. Mr Kazun taught Chem. 11 and 12 and General Science to Grade 8. Mr. D. Sponza, B.A. Mr. Sponza enjoyed his sixth year at V.C. 1 coaching Grade 9 Basketball and moderating the Pep Club as well as the Student Council. L This year he taught Socials 8 and 10, Religion 11 and Geography 12. Mr. A. Van Der Sande, M Sc. Mr Van Der Sande has been with V.C. for five years. This year he taught Physics to Grades 11 and 12 and Computer Science 11. He also taught General Science to Grade 10 Compliments of THE BANK OF BRITISH COLUMBIA Mr. P. Toth, B.A. In Mr. Toth ' s first year in V.C., coaching the J.V. Football team was first on the agenda. During the day he taught English and Religion to Grade 8. Br. R.H. MacKenzie, B.A., M.A. A Vancouver College graduate of 1950, Br MacKenzie comes to us from S.T.M. in Burn- aby. He previously taught at V.C. for four years in the late ’50’s. This year he taught Religion 10, English 10 and Reading 8. 16
