ALUMNO 1981 -V.C. GRADUATES ALFONSO ARMON ABRAHAM Alfonso came to the College in grade 5 from Notre Dame in Belmont, California The one thing he likes about Vancouver is the snow, because he is an avid skier Alfonso ' s plans after graduation include going to a University (hopefully in Utah) and entering the field of Commerce or Sciences HAYDN CHARLES LAURENCE ACHE Haydn came to V C in grade nine from the sunny shores of Trinidad, in the Caribbean, becoming one of our honoured resident students During his stay at V C Haydn has focused his attention on athletics, participating in various intramural activities as well as ) V and Varsity football, track and wrestling His hobbies include skin diving, weightlifting, logging and partying Haydn plans to work for one year, then further his education, possibly in the field of Oceanography Hey guys, will you get a look at . . . WHO JUST HAPPENED to walk right in! mumbles Peter as he takes his eyes off the books. ANDRE AQUINO Andre arrived here from Regina High School, operated by the Christian Brothers in Newfoundland Since then he joined the Grade 10 basketball team and then left the sport for the other virtues of life He has involved himself in intramurals, skiing, and would like to take up hang-gliding and sky diving. After graduation he plans to join the police force or a fire brigade STEWART WILLIAM BAILEY Coming from Immaculate Conception Delta, Stew began his 5 year stay at College in grade 8 Since then. Stew has been an outstanding member in the athletic programme He has earned his Varsity letter on a few occasions, successfully participating in basketball and track, as well as doing some cross-country running When not shootin ' hoops, or doing 400 ' s, Stew can be found studying, supporting, or sleeping After graduation, Stewart will go into the World of business management, at- tending either U B C or B C I T 26

FRANCIS MICHAEL GRAHAM PAUL PELLETREAU LEO ANTHONY SCHWARZ Michael started at Vancouver College in grade 1, in 1969, Mike holds an extremely high opinion of VC, believing in the motto: Be true to your school! When not studying Mike can usually be found either at a football or basketball game or enjoying himself at a dance Outside of school The Kid leads a full life of partying, cars, girl chasing, sailing, skiing, and swimming Michael plans to take this summer off to become: The Master of Time, Space and Dimension, after which point he will attend U B C and, later, medical school Paul has been at the College for twelve years and has found it most rewarding When not studying, Paul can be found skiing, lying on the beaches, pounding the drums or blowing his eardrums out listening to music Paul feels that accomplishing goals is an important task He feels it ' s better to set small goals rather than one that is impossible to reach, in that way he can reach his goals, receive the reward and go on to the next His goal now is to be the all being, master of time, space, and dimension then he plans to go to France Leo always knew he had potential, but even he was a bit surprised to find that when he entered College at Christmas of grade one the brothers had already started building the log cabin he was born in Like Henry the fifth before Agincourt and like Alfred before his cakes, Leo has triumphed over the intricacies of basketball, soccer, hockey, tennis, golf, hor- seback riding, squash, racquetball, sky-gliding, and scuba diving to mention just a few In his spare time, Leo involves himself in such hobbies as stamp collecting, painting, model boats, coin collecting, interior decorating, plant maintenance, growing plants, and when he has the time flying kites Leo is a bit concerned on leaving V C that he isn ' t ready to cope with the outside world After spending 12 years at Vancouver College both David Green and Jeff Charpentier know how many fingers to hold up to show 12 .” GORDON WILLIAM URQUHART Cordon has attended Vancouver College for the past 12 years Living only one block away has helped make school life for him much easier Besides studying he has become active in the Collegian and has enioyed supporting Irish basketball. When not prowling the hallways he occupies his time skiing, sailing, playing poker and tennis As to his future, Cordon plans to continue his education 25

GERALD RAYMOND BELGARDT Gerald came to College five years ago from St Patrick ' s Elementary Since then he has been on the honour roll consistently and worked on the Collegian in grade ten as typing editor After graduation Gerald plans to enter the Faculty of Science at U B C LAWRENCE D BELL Larry came to V C. three years ago, returning from schools in northern BC and Montreal Since coming to VC, Larry has participated in the school band playing the clarinet and tenor sax Outside of school Larry enjoys skiing, swimming, and his car After graduation his plans include the Commerce Program at U B C RANDY LEE BILESKY Randy came to Vancouver College five years ago from St Pauls School in Richmond Since his entry into College, Randy has been involved in wrestling, football, hockey and an active participant in the intramural program When he is not in deep study, Randy can be found playing tennis, baseball, skiing or recording the odd album in his studio He plans on attending U BC in the Science program and then becoming a tax free millionaire in the Bahamas RONALD STEVEN BOCUSZ Ronald came to the sophisicated College life from North Vancouver 2 years ago and has remained ever since Other than studying, his school life was spent enthusiastically par- ticipating in intramurals and lunch time sports School aside, most of his time was spent working and he was involved in various water sports. University is in his future, along with other less formal methods of continued education 27
