Principal ' s Message Br Maher B A. Dear Students, I am most happy to provide a Principal ' s message to the COLLEGIAN. The traditional high quality of this publication remains a vital source for the history of the school and its public relations The end of this current school year brings us to the ripe old age of fifty-nine. And the 1981-82 school year will usher us into our Diamond Jubilee. Our preparations for this celebration are extensive and far-reaching Our fund drive and building program will add some badly needed facilities and change the face of the present campus. And if we do in fact change the College, it will be because the heart remains strong and growing. It will be because we have all found a place within that heart and we have grown to value its contribution to our lives. The history of the College is one of sacrifice and mutually shared endeavour and accomplishment. We value because we sacrifice to contribute. In a very real sense, the Brothers, the lay staff, the students, and their families, have in the College an opportunity for sacrificial living for one another that touches at the very core of our Christian and Catholic lives. If we do not sacrifice we do not love and we cannot call ourselves Christian. Our jubilee will be a celebration of that history. More than a celebration, I trust that it will become a renewal of our hearts to strengthen our spirit of family both at home and at the school. I trust that both the jubilee and the history that produced the jubilee will serve to affirm in us time and time again that our sacrifice for one another leaves us a treasure endured far beyond brick and mortar Fondest wishes to the grads of 1981 ! 8 Sincerely yours, Br. Maher, C.F.C., M.A. Principal MR J KAVALEC, B Pe„ BA, M.Ed. Vice-Principal MR. M. KIM, B.Ed. Elementary School Supervisor Special Reading Classes Grade 71
