Jose Ramirez. Chuck Reeve. Joe Sothy, Mark Tilbe. Paul Davis. Missing. Paul Gipps. Karl Meszaros. Sean Mullen. Class 1 2 1 showed it’s spirit of leadership and involvement in many ways. They participated in a number of activities especially football and basketball. Besides their role in sports, academics was revealed to be a highly regarded respon- sibility. ANSON CHEN CONALL EDWARD BARR Conall came from St. Augustines to College in 1 97 5 for grade eight. He helped bring the grade eight football team to a victorious championship. He has already spent twelve years swimming, two years at the Y.M.C.A. and ten years with the Canandian Dolphin Swim Club, in preparation for the 1984 Olympics. Connall has also been known as Animal’ ' . L’Homme d’Atlantis” and Captain Humm . His plans for the future include: majoring in Marine Biology, and keeping in shape with swimming and Tai-KwonDo. MARK BEAULIEU Mark came to V.C. from St. Anthony ' s in Marpole in the 7th grade and has been involved in, wrestling and soccer. Outside of school Mark ' s hobbies include hockey, football, baseball, motorcycling, shooting, and is presently getting his pilots license. After graduating Mark plans to join the Royal Canadian Air Force and eventually fly jets. He hopes to spend approximatly 10 years in the Air Force before applying as a pilot for a major airline. After Anson’s departure from Taiwan, he first spent three years at London Secondary High School in Richmond preparing his English, before coming to Vancouver College for his last two years of high school life. In his spare time, Anson can be found studying astronomy, improving his mastery in the martial arts (practicing kung-fu), and bowling. He is planning to attend the Faculty of Science at U.B.C. for three years and then hopefully he will go on to study architecture. RAY DAGENAIS Ray came to College in grade 8 from St. Andrew’s Elementary. Ray played J.V. football in grade 9 but then dropped it to concentrate on academics. He works at various jobs and gets in his share of golf. Ray remembers Br. Basil ' s fan club and had good times in Br. Dawson ' s math class. In the fall Ray plans to attend either V.C.C. or U.B.C. on a commerce program. Nat, like the speed of light, shows Anson how to turn a page. 23
