Van Wert High is full of many sounds, books closing, bells ringing, and desks banging, but most of all . . . footsteps, Hrm, quick, footsteps that might rather than a staff, or a building be called Van Wert High School. It is for those shoes that the Excalibur is written. It can only show a small part of the time, effort, and study that must be put forth to make up a school and its spirit, but this book tries in a small way to show what those shoes have accom- plished in 1958-59.
