JUNIORS This JUNIOR CLASS OFFICERS: Sue Prior, Treasurer, Joy Smith, Vice President, Bill Stanley President, Nancy Rager, Secretary. The Junior Class in the year of 1958-59 is a well represented class with one hundred and fifty-eight students. We are now almost to the top of the ladder of education with one more rung to climb. We feel we have come a long way in preparing ourselves for the future. To lead us in our Junior year, we the class of 1960, have chosen as President, Bill Stanley, Vice President, Joy Smith, Secretary, Nancy Rager, and Treasurer, Sue Prior. We are now planning to raise enough money to have the biggest and best prom ever. This year is probably the most exciting year for us in Van Wert High School for many reasons. 'At long last most of us turned sixteen and we've also picked out and bought our class rings. The Ring Committee consists of Bill Stanley, Sue Prior, Doug Maxium, Joy Smith, Jim Marker, and Karen Wierwille. We congratulate them for doing such a wonderful job. , We are well represented in sport activities. Football, basketball, golf, and baseball. Keeping the 'school spirit we are represented by three varsity cheerleaders: Joy Smith, Karen Bagley, and Barbara German. And helping lead the band we have one majorette, Sharon Boyd. We are well represented in many of the school activities: Band, Choir, V-Club, Y-Teens, Hi-Y, Rendezvous Committee, G.A.A., Masque and Gavel, Debate Team, F .N.A., and F.T.A. And we always had a fine representation on the scholarship teams. The Junior Class has a large share participating in the school play. The Student Council members from our class this year are Karen Wierwille, Bill Stanley, Sue Prior, Barbara German, Alice August, and Rick Counselor. As our homecoming attendant We were proud to choose Karen Bagley to repre- sent the Junior Class.
